I'm an avid runner, mom, and wife in DC. Some of my happiest times are running on the C&O Canal and other trails near my home. I am a reluctant cook, but still spend time in the kitchen so I can fuel myself and my family with real food. And while I try to serve fewer highly-processed foods and more local and organic foods, but I keep Poptarts in my pantry for emergencies. I have a Certificate in Nutrition Education from American University and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Chicago.
